Measure the pattern

Is delay constant or occasional? Does it occur during card scanning, calls, conversation, phone use, hearing, or an inaccessible setup?

Change the system first

Improve light, lower music, narrate transitions, schedule a break, set phone boundaries, or choose a learning format.

• Speak privately when possible.
• Avoid age or ability assumptions.
• Name the impact, not a label.

Set a group boundary if needed

A recurring group may choose a pace expectation, but it should be explicit, revisable, and never disguised as universal etiquette.
